  1. Ego Brain - Joob (Live Acoustic)

The warm weather is back and so are our live acoustic videos. 420 aint nothing without some sonic energy (yeah, I said sonic energy). Enjoy the original music from Joob!

    From his Facebook page:

    Hey Everyone,
So today’s “Kony the Fony awareness day”, it’s every tokers favorite excuse to get high and it happens to be Hitlers birthday…. oh yeah , and it’s a Friday.

The point is while that video was a money scam by some fucked up people, it did us the favor of reminding the world how hippie infested it is…. Crawling with humanitarians.

It’s nice to see there’s an army of freedom fighters to march forward to a better world, but I ask that you not dismiss the Kony thing entirely as a ridiculous scandal. Try’n take what little value it may have and help make this world a better place.

While I’m the last person to say not to smoke it down
Don’t just take a toke, try’n turn things around.

    Thanks,
    Joob

Ps. Don’t get caught jerkin it San Diego

  3. POSER BEHIND THE SCENES

Video shot by Khaldun Blair & Chief Bosompra. Definitely learned a lot shooting POSER. Stoked to continue working on cool stuff. Pre-production on our next narrative project begins May 1st. We’ll be releasing a few videos on 4/20 and more every week!

My goal with the visual aspect of POSER was to make it as simple as possible (stick to the fundamentals). Shooting in the moment is key. However, for our next project, we’re going to actually rehearse scenes and focus on the acting craft. I love narratives and I want to bring all kinds of stories to life.

Enjoy the behind the scenes video. Goodbye winter.

  4. ‘POSER’ Producer Chief Bosompra and Executive Producer Matheson Murray at The Standard (Ottawa) for the public screening of the film. Photo by Kristen Bromiley.

I’m personally against public screenings (unless it’s a movie theater). I want people to be able to watch our stuff in the best, most efficient way possible. There is nothin’ more intimate than your computer screen. Regardless, the show went on!

    Chief:

Premiering the product was the easiest part of everything. Upon seeing the final cut there were some changes that needed to be made and issues to be sorted that the rest of the world will never know about. That’s whats great about filmmaking and most art in general, the creators dictate what is to be received. We held an intimate screening at a classy bar in Ottawa. I was slightly nervous throughout the screening I spent most of the time looking at peoples reactions at certain scenes since I had already seen it. At the end of the screening the reception seemed to be positive.

My advice to other filmmakers would be stick to your vision and the message you intended to convey to the audience, be prepared for variable changes at any point in filming & remember every release is just a stepping stone for the next.

    Watch POSER right now.

  5. Raz Fresco - CAKEY (Music Video)

Shot this at the beginning of March when it was FREEEZING. Raz is only 17 years old. He brought the same level of focus to every single take, definitely a lot of fun to watch. Best music video we’ve made to date.
