  2. POSER BEHIND THE SCENES

    Video shot by Khaldun Blair & Chief Bosompra. Definitely learned a lot shooting POSER. Stoked to continue working on cool stuff. Pre-production on our next narrative project begins May 1st. We’ll be releasing a few videos on 4/20 and more every week!

    My goal with the visual aspect of POSER was to make it as simple as possible (stick to the fundamentals). Shooting in the moment is key. However, for our next project, we’re going to actually rehearse scenes and focus on the acting craft. I love narratives and I want to bring all kinds of stories to life.

Photo by Kristen Bromiley.I’m personally against public screenings (unless it’s a movie theater). I want people to be able to watch our stuff in the best, most efficient way possible. There is nothin’ more intimate than your computer screen. Regardless, the show went on!Chief: Premiering the product was the easiest part of everything. Upon seeing the final cut there were some changes that needed to be made and issues to be sorted that the rest of the world will never know about. That’s whats great about filmmaking and most art in general, the creators dictate what is to be received. We held an intimate screening at a classy bar in Ottawa. I was slightly nervous throughout the screening I spent most of the time looking at peoples reactions at certain scenes since I had already seen it. At the end of the screening the reception seemed to be positive.My advice to other filmmakers would be stick to your vision and the message you intended to convey to the audience, be prepared for variable changes at any point in filming & remember every release is just a stepping stone for the next.   6. Raz Fresco - CAKEY (Music Video)

    Shot this at the beginning of March when it was FREEEZING. Raz is only 17 years old. He brought the same level of focus to every single take, definitely a lot of fun to watch. Best music video we’ve made to date.

    A man known as BAXI spends his nights piggy backing scum bags in order to bring home the bacon. The job takes it’s toll driving him to insomnia, insanity and bloody street justice.

    Chris is one of the most inspiring people I know. We’ve shot with him and HOGTOWN Director/Star Nick Latimer before.  This will be madness.

    Shooting POSER was a great experience. I stayed at the YFC Ottawa HQ (Dill & Murray’s) and ate Mr. Noodles every night for dinner. Bad Habits’ Chief did an amazing job producing the project. The most important thing I’ve learned lately is that showing up is half the battle. We shot tons of behind the scenes content. MORE TO COME!
